PRESS START // The Reading Quest TBR!

giphy (2).gifMy first ever readathon and it’s video game inspired. Perfect! Aentee from Read at Midnight created this wonderful bingo readathon with lovely artwork created by CW from Read, Think, Ponder. I’ve always been intimidated by readathons for some reason and has always come up with excuses not to join them (busy with uni work, no time etc.) but when I first heard that Aentee was creating a video game inspired one, I had to join.

The Reading Quest is a readathon where readers choose a character and slay their TBR, earning experience and health points on the way. With every 50 exp earned, the character level up.

The First Book Of A Series

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

I’ll be reading this in preparation for the GodsGrave launch in Melbourne! I attended a world building workshop held by Jay Kristoff and he referred to Nevernight a few times which made me really interested. I’ve read Illuminae and Gemina and half of Stormdancer so I can’t wait to read Nevernight.

A Book With A Verb In Its Title

Sleeping Giants by Slyvain Neuval

I’ll be listening to the audiobook version of this. I’ve heard great things about this audiobook and can’t wait to try it for myself!

A Book With A Weapon On Its Cover

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

Been meaning to finish this series a few months ago but never had any motivation to pick it up.

A Book With A Red Cover

Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo

I just really want to finish the Grisha trilogy so I can start Six of Crows.

A Book That Has A TV/Movie Adaption

22999157Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

This book has sat on my shelf long enough to be embarrassed by. I also have not watched the movie.side-quests.png

Read a book you’ve previously DNF

The Dreamer by E.J. Mellow

I read a few pages of this then put it down for unknown reasons. So if i do have time to do the side quests, it would be great to get back into this.

Animal Companion

Book referencing an animal in the title

Forgive Me, Leornard Peacock by Matthew Quick

I don’t know a lot about this because I bought it in a sale long ago and should really get into it. Also, it was really cheap.

Read a graphic novel, novella or a poem collection

Binti by Nnedi Okarafor

I’ve heard about Binti but didn’t know much about it. My library has a copy of Binti as an audiobook and also ebook, so it would be perfect when I’m commuting.

Will you be joining the readathon? If so, which character did you choose?
